Most health decisions are made without the most fundamental information about your body: your DNA. Consumer genetic tests scratch the surface. Clinical whole genome sequencing reads your complete genetic code, three billion base pairs, at a depth that reveals what matters.
Modulus Bio is not a consumer curiosity product. It is a clinical tool, ordered by physicians, interpreted by physicians, and integrated with everything else we know about your health.
Why Genomics Matters
Your genome is the instruction manual your body follows. Variations in these instructions can affect how you respond to medications, your risk for certain diseases, and traits you may pass to your children. Some of this information is actionable today. Some may become actionable as medicine advances. All of it is yours to know, if you choose.
Traditional medicine waits for symptoms. Genomic medicine can identify risks before they manifest, sometimes decades before. A patient who knows they carry a BRCA mutation can take preventive action. A patient who metabolizes certain medications poorly can avoid adverse reactions. A patient whose family history suggests hereditary disease can finally get answers.

What Makes Modulus Bio Different
Clinical-Grade Sequencing
30X whole genome sequencing performed in a CLIA-certified, CAP-accredited laboratory. This is the same quality used in major academic medical centers, not the consumer-grade genotyping that misses most of your DNA.
Physician Interpretation
Your results are reviewed by a Modulus physician who understands your complete medical history, not just your genome. Findings are explained in context, with clear guidance on what matters and what does not.
Medical Record Integration
Genetic variants do not exist in isolation. We interpret your genome alongside your complete medical history, family history, and current health status. This context transforms raw data into actionable insight.
Ongoing Reanalysis
Genomic science evolves rapidly. Variants classified as uncertain today may be understood tomorrow. Your Modulus Bio data remains in your Vault, eligible for periodic reanalysis as scientific knowledge advances.
Integrated With Your Care
Modulus Bio is not a standalone product. It is part of a comprehensive care relationship. Your genetic results are interpreted alongside your complete medical history, family history, and current health concerns.
When your results reveal something actionable, your Modulus physician can immediately incorporate that information into your care plan. No separate appointments. No translating results between providers. No gaps in continuity.
Modulus Bio is a clinical service, not a consumer product. Whole genome sequencing is ordered by a Modulus physician based on clinical appropriateness. Not all applicants will be approved for testing.
Genetic testing has limitations. A negative result does not guarantee you will not develop a condition. A positive result does not mean you will develop a condition. Many factors beyond genetics influence health outcomes.
Results may have implications for family members. Because you share DNA with biological relatives, your results may reveal information relevant to their health. Please consider this before testing. We recommend reviewing our Important Considerations Before Genetic Testing document.
Insurance protections have limits. GINA prohibits discrimination by health insurers and employers based on genetic information but does not cover life insurance, disability insurance, or long-term care insurance.
Genetic counseling is available. If you have questions about whether genetic testing is right for you, or if you receive results that are difficult to interpret, your Modulus physician can refer you to a certified genetic counselor.
Laboratory services. Sequencing is performed by a CLIA-certified, CAP-accredited laboratory partner. Laboratory certifications and accreditations are available upon request.
Timeline. Results typically require four to six weeks from sample receipt. Processing times may vary based on laboratory capacity and sample quality.
Refund policy. Modulus Bio is non-refundable once sample collection has begun. Full refund available if canceled before kit shipment. See Refund Policy for details.
